I love this imagery: seeing Buddha meditating under a tree and about to achieve enlightenment Mara's army attacks. But such is the power of peaceful calm around Gautama that as arrows and spears approach they transform into flowers, and fall gently to the ground around Buddha. I reflect on it often.
