So here's a thing. I help run my local food bank, and we're doing this: 12 Days of Christmas Giving.

It's the busiest time of year for us and we have to build up our stocks right through December.

I know you're not in N4, but all food banks are in the same boat, so if you can help please do! 🙏🎄

For Armistice Day, here's a letter my great uncle wrote to his old school in 1914 about the Christmas truce

I make no apologies for banging on about The Abergele Files over the next few days and weeks.

A comedy with jokes *and* heart?
Oh yes.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

This is a great piece about modern London. If I was still writing The Bill I'd be straight on the phone to my producer

My novel The Rotters’ Club has been an AS Level set text with one board.

When I was new to Twitter I thought it might be a fun idea to search the titles of my books. The first post I found read simply: ‘My English teacher can shove The Rotters Club up her arse.’
US and UK friends, I'm curious: What books were part of your required reading for highschool literature class? Which of them do you remember loving, and which did you loathe?
