Boardgames, dolls houses, writing, art, random stuff. Likes puns. I use a photo from a museum back room as my header as it's a bit like how my brain works. In the UK.

You are building a guild hall in 1357.

What materials are you going to need?

60 trees from Bolton Percy for 27s. 6d., 100 oaks from Thorpe Underwood for £21, 14 tons of stone from Tadcaster and 20,000 bricks for £6 from the Carmelite Friars of York.

That should keep you going!

Right @mbalazo.bsky.social has informed me that in his hometown there's an English-themed pub called Bollocks. This would be like someone here opening a US-style diner and calling it Jerking Off or something.

Goodnight from Tony Wrox, realising that stealing an item labelled ‘The Ghost Child’s mirror’ from the Crowhythe Museum of Curiosities was always going to be a mistake. Goodnight from Bethany Butterfield, eager for morning and its possibility of frost lace divinations. Goodnight from Hookland.

In chapter one of my novel Villager, I described a fictional painting, painted 60+ years ago by a forgotten painter: a psychedelic swirl of moorland landscape, which later became the cover of a fictional psych-folk LP.

"Do you fancy having a go at painting this?" I asked my mum.

So she did...

All along the watchtower.
A 360 view from the site of the Roman signal station & watchtower on Eildon Hill North, Melrose.
The combined slog up here from Trimontium below, & the strength of the wind at the top, probably accounted for a lot of bribery in writing the duty rosters.

Dreamt that the entire world's fortunes were dictated by mindbogglingly corrupt & evil people negotiating to cover up evil things they had done & that the corruption was so powerfully impermeable & cunningly brazen, nobody could do anything to halt it. Thank fuck we don't live in a world like that.

Actual lol at the suggestion Wes Streeting is capable of plotting. If this was an RPG he'd have a negative modifier on rolls for cunning.

He's Paddingon Bear if Paddington had spent years getting terfed by reading Mumsnet while the Browns were at work.
