The Destinies Rivals prerelease kits are incredibly unbalanced and not fun at all if you get the bad ones (I did), but I pulled a full art Rocket's Mewtwo, so there's that I guess!

Won a Trading Card Game classic box at a local Pokémon Day unofficial tournament. Decided to switch things up and ran Archaludon winning every round except R4 which I ID'd to guarantee top cut. Feels good to win an event again :)

Started off well at 2-0-1 at euic then hit a horrible 4 match losing streak. Ended up a disappointing 3-4-2. Ceruledge had tested well for me online and at local events but just didn't work today. Shame really.

@fanfinity.bsky.social Paying for a regional would give a ticket that allowed you to play in the cup the next day. Now the ticket gets you a pick-a-pack and the cup is £30+. I would like to stay longer at your events and compete some more if I don't make day 2, but this is frankly a rip off

Ptcgl ladder is definitely giving me a false impression of how good Ceruledge is. I'm 17-4 with it at the moment and beaten 3 Garde in a row. There are way too many ppl struggling with that deck at 1600 in arceus league it seems

3-1 for 2nd at Brighton challenge with Ceruledge. Deck ran perfectly for 3 rounds then refused to give me Pokémon or ball search in the last round and I got T2 donked. Best of one stuff again. Ah well

Finished 424 out of 2019 players at Birmingham regionals with a 5-3 record playing Palkia/terapagos. One loss being a tie would have given me day 2 but I'm happy to have done as well as I did

A bit of a tragic 1-2-1 result at Eastbourne cup today. Was going okay, but matched a world's qualified junior playing snorlax in R3 with no answers in my deck and a frustrating g3 donk in R4 sealed my fate. Hopefully will see better fortunes in Birmingham next week

1st of 12 at Shoreham cup with TeraPalk. Some odd games and awful misplays but good to get a finish this season. Still work to do on the list, but all good practice for Birmingham next month.

I don't know who updates the decklist printer at www.pokedata.ovh/paper/ but pretty please can you update it? It doesn't recognise my promo Noctowls or anything from Surging Sparks and I love the ability to print out my decklists coz I'm old like that!

4th out of 16 at Brighton challenge with jet TeraPalk. Finished 3-1 as did 2nd and 3rd. Bo1 things and hoping that my opponent couldn't get out of an iono to 3 with no draw on board were my downfall. We live and learn

Back to TeraPalk for the Horsham challenge today and redeemed myself slightly with a 3-1 finish, ending up in 3rd overall. My loss felt very out of my hands due to being a brickfest in a BO1 but there were probably things I could have done differently. We move on.

Terrible performance with Ceruledge/palk at Crawley challenge tonight. (10th of 12). A combination of bad matchups, bo1 and some truly awful prize checking in r1 led to a 1-3 finish. Maybe it's time to put this deck away?
December 9, 2024 at 9:50 PM
3rd at Daydream cup with Ceruledge. Sounds reasonably impressive but there were 6 masters so only 3 rounds. I also played against the only junior and only senior. The new tournament structure has killed local cups and challenges, I remember when they were regularly 30+ events

Changes to Arceus League + the Ranked Ladder in Pokemon TCG Live:

Once you reach Arceus League you'll go from earning Rank Points to competing in an Elo-based ranking system, which calculates your skill level and adjusts after every match.

Meaning: Someone will be the #1 player in the world.

2nd at Brighton challenge with Ceruledge. The deck did what it needed to do in the 2 prize matchups, but couldn't cope against ancient box. Always a problem when you take a deck with polarised matchups. I didn't think anyone would bring a single prizer. So it goes.

I don't know who decided that getting no points for a win after hitting arceus rank in #ptgcl was a good idea, but somebody needs to tell them they were wrong!
