Attach T1. Attach xp share to another to guard against the first one being knocked out. Then attach T2 and attack. I played against this deck at locals this week. I'm not saying it's good. I'm saying that my opponent had ways of getting around the energy cost

Rotom ex allows you to attach 2 tools so you can double counter gain to attack for free or xp share and counter gain or double xp share for that matter. I don't think energy cost is the problem its more that damage output goes down as the game goes on

So basically have your board full of bad Pokémon, take a single KO on a mega and win the game with a 6 prize turn? That's so dumb.

I trapped a basic toed and a regi I think. Neither of which should have been played by my opp when he did imho. A charmed yveltal can survive a hit and be picked up by penny etc. ogerpon nuking kanga is still a big investment and I got loads of energy off the board with a response ko.

I wasn't saying you didn't know the matchup, I was asking if your opponent did. I'm no expert on the pairing, I just played against it with a friend. I lost the first one pretty quickly then adapted my strategy and won the next games. Maybe they were outliers, but still, it felt winnable to me

Sounds more like your absol opponent didn't know how to adapt to play against you. I found this match up okay as an absol player okay if you can clutch for long enough to set up damage and get a couple of kanga ready to finish everything off. It's a tough matchup for sure but I never felt farmed!

Some decks like having things in the discard. Ceruledge wants energy there, ancient box wants ancient cards there. Othe decks just like "thin" decks when they are set up. This card could see play (but probably won't)

Yup. Last one - Pulled a single cram? Congrats, you win the prerelease! This one - you got the Ethan's kit? Congrats you win the prerelease. It had so much consistency compared to the others. I'm guessing they don't bother testing them against each other
