Portland: Neighbors Welcome
@pnwelcome.bsky.social
Housing is a human right. Fighting for tenants rights along with four floors and corner stores across Portland for all ages, wages and stages of life. 🏘️
Join us on December 13th to celebrate our hard work and wins in 2025! We’ll also preview opportunities ahead in 2026, and maybe even plug you into a small team. In P:NW, we know working together- and having fun together- is the only way to achieve our big goals. Let’s party at White Owl! <3

We urge the City to make a better choice, one that accepts responsibility for the policy failures that have created this situation: we can spend our money and our energy creating housing options that serve everyone, not just the most fortunate among us.

Every dollar spent on forcibly moving our unhoused neighbors from one wet sidewalk to another is a dollar not spent on programs like rental assistance, which keeps Portlanders from becoming unhoused in the first place.
November 11, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Evidence shows that sweeps do not improve the conditions or prospects of the people they affect or the City of Portland as a whole. They are a harmful and inadequate strategy for addressing the challenges our homeless neighbors face every day.

ACTION ALERT:

Join Portland: Neighbors Welcome in submitting testimony to Portland City Council in support of Councilor Morillo's Fall Budget amendment to fund support, not sweeps, for our neighbors.

Portland: Neighbors Welcome urges City Council to reject the proposed camping ban ordinance. Portland must embrace housing first strategies that offer dignity and respect to our most vulnerable neighbors. Let's house all our neighbors, together.

We need to reimagine what our community looks like for Portland to have housing that meets the needs of every neighbor, at all ages wages and stages of life. Our grassroots effort to legalize four floors + corner stores in Portland’s most central, walkable neighborhoods is a step in that direction.
