nobody likes a know-it-all, but the debate around "this isn't who we are" does point to the fact that we need to articulate a distinct national identity that is not tied to this current system of government with its long history of white supremacist crimes.

for those of you who don't know, none of these cities are near central LA, where the population is denser. there was a recent raid in echo park, but generally ICE is raiding the periphery of the LA metropolis, similar to the beaverton and hillsboro raids outside PDX
CBP is in South East L.A. while ICE is in other areas today 1/22.

Big tech companies now operate more than 120 data centers in the state. The new committee will be tasked with developing policy recommendations on data centers. The governor's aim: to ensure economic growth while keeping power affordable and protecting water resources.
Oregon Gov. Kotek to create statewide data center advisory committee
The committee will deliver a report to the governor no later than October.
