German example (equity+competition): ec.europa.eu/commission/p...
Support given to Lufthansa during Covid, in exchange for 20% equity AND increases in airport access for competitors at Frankfurt & Munich. Contrasts strongly with federal Aust govt with respect to Qantas (who fired staff illegally).

Thanks for the repost. I thought I was having a discussion with her but, after showing her how the ETS actually produced CO2 emission reductions in 2012-2014 is.gd/gKa096 & mentioning the CPRS was crap (credits etc.), she blocked me.

Please repost reactions to Elizabeth Watson-Brown's Ryan win :-)

OK so is this your point: the minority govt 2010-2013 was chaotic,in spite of Albanese managing govt business & passing the highest number of bills by any fed parliament, with chaos caused by 1 LH Greens member.
Or are you saying that 1 Greens member 2013-2022 was responsible for "climate inaction"?

Yes the Greens voted against the first effort with credits that meant no reductions. A few years later they negotiated a real scheme in which CO2 emissions fell from 2012 to 2014, until Abbott cancelled the scheme. Perhaps show graph 2 at ourworldindata.org/co2/country/... to your son so he feels OK

I was a QLD Greens 2025 candidate and I reckon you've made some valid points, but I would disagree RE seriousness and responsibility.
Regarding the housing bill delay: some observers posit that once the QLD state election was over, the ALP saw no advantage in delaying a compromise any longer.

Perhaps the most telling is that most people can see clearly that Trump does not care about Australia and the US won't put our interests ahead of their own.

Why can half of Australia see something the major parties cannot?

The Greens will fight to force big businesses to act on pay equity & ensure govt contracts only go to those closing the gap.

We can’t risk a Dutton-led govt ignoring women’s rights. The Greens can help Labor act to lock in real pay equity before it’s too late. #auspol

They might not support truth in political advertising, but maybe truthiness in spinning is OK?
