Big thanks to Wickes. Without them I'd never know how to load my early Volkswagen Passat B5 carefully, evenly and safely.

This little Autozam is really cool, almost as cool as the building that was built specially for Mazda's short lived M2 customisation and performance division.

Goat with a threatening aura.
You are not going to be stealing the H from those Hondas.

When did people stop aspiring to own big squishy saloon cars? Nothing quite beats a proper luxo-barge.

Nothing says 'a quality used car' like a nearly 20 year old Astra van with a mirror held on with gaffer tape.

I was once briefly the unfortunate owner of a PT Cruiser convertible. The boot was shallow and the lid opened outwards and then hinged up, making it very difficult to get anything in without crouching under the lid. You could fold the seats down but there was a strut brace across the opening.

Anyone in the market for a reasonably priced car? Very clean, drives really well, ULEZ exempt, MOT until February - £750 in Mid-Devon.

This past week has been a busy and quite stressful mess for a number of reasons, but one thing that did 'merit' a smile was spotting this exceptionally clean Astra F. Shame about the pound land wheel trims.

There was (probably still is) a very complete one in the notorious New Zealand Horopito wreckers yard. Not sure why I didn't grab a better photo.

Like this one I spotted at a wreckers yard in Perth in 2015. Looked almost immaculate, so hopefully it didn't stay there.

What is the most unexpectedly dismal car you've owned, with no particular fault you can put your finger on?
Just a car that by all logical reason is totally fine but just can't help being miserable?
Mine is this Honda Orthia, small with a 2.0 should have been decent, was somehow just so very dull.

Actually I've been a fool, the answer is clearly this:

I always loved this livery on the Lister Storm and I don't think it's oil based.

Yesterday I spotted one of life's absolute winners in Morrisons carpark. This must be great fun to thread between the autumn puddles. Not through though. Never through.

I've had a few, this was easily the best.

Does anyone else panic buy a cheap car just before their dailys MOT? Not sure what I expect the trusty Audi A4 that I found in some undergrowth a year ago to fail on, but I'm now also the proud owner of a Daewoo Nubira...

... A Chevrolet Lacetti!

The Peugeot 406 has aged the most gracefully of any of the cars that raced in the "super touring" 1990 years of peak BTCC. Disabled parking spot as per usual with clean old cars.

The W12 Nardo, this and a Phaeton would have made for the perfect 2 car garage for an oligarch on a budget.

Look amazing, slightly disappointing drive. Mine was a V6 manual but it would have suited an auto better in hindsight.
I wouldn't recommend doing the timing belt on your drive when Renault quoted it as an engine out job, although it was possible.

Add a Mazda Demo for old time sake please.

Gran Turismo 7 needs to add more cars I've owned IRL.
It was a very happy surprise to find the Avantime in the latest update.

The perfect 2 car fleet doesn't exist but I think whoever owns these has gotten pretty damn close.

Dishonourable mention to this "Wolfsburg Edition" badge on a VW Crafter. You know, the generation based on a Mercedes (of Stuttgart) Sprinter and built in Dusseldorf.
Very Wolfsburg.

The old council estates around where I live really do seem to be where old vehicles go to die, and not just at my hands. A small selection here of the local older metal.

I was lightly obsessed with it when growing up and think it has aged magnificently. Italdesign was on a role in the mid 90s, the BMw Nasca C2 was also a wondrous concept, but much more of its time.
