Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

This is not normal. A sitting president refusing to call the governor of a state after two elected officials were shot, one fatally, is beyond words. A typical president, regardless of politics, would pick up the phone. Offer condolences.

The US Consulate in Nuuk tried to set up a meeting with the Nuuk Art Museum for Usha Vance. But ended up dropping the idea.
The museum said it could not offer the delegation exclusive access. If they wanted to visit, they would have to buy tickets like all other guests, and during opening hours.
