Meanwhile CDJapan has set their policy for shipments and it does make it quite difficult to move forward. I truly may have to stop buying hard copies of music.

More sewing for dolls ! It’s incredible how many shirts one kid t-shirt can make! Also really please to find good flannel at a dollar store bin. Made some blankets and pillows for a little kid and their plush XD .

More #labubu sewing , under strict supervision of Sesame and Lychee. I discovered that jersey fabric is beyond me . I need a different needle or to add film to keep it from being eaten by the machine.

… I’m getting very tired of providing for my big family of little girls xD

Ah I forgot to add part one of the High Museum exhibit which featured Ryoji Ikeda’s Dataverse . He also scored the soundscape inside the exhibit. Be careful as there’s strobing light in the opening of this montage of this and other exhibits which included American folk art.

In his early career he thought Korean work was muted (due to the tradition of scroll painting) but realized after looking at sewn handiwork that Korean art was in fact very colorful . Here is bojagi as an example.

He was an artist who trained overseas but was told to go back and find his voice at home . He lived at the foot of Mount Seoraksan capturing what was around him .

K-pop culture has also increased awareness of Korean art. Went to the High Museum yesterday for an exhibit of Kim ChongHak’s works . Beautifully vibrant, aware of the past, and determined to show Korean work as colorful and passionate. In all my years of going to US museums, this was a highlight.

A few Fridays ago, went to pick lavender which is in season in June . Saw many dahlias which to me are new as a native midwesterner.

One of the upsides of this weird situation I am in - is being able to go do something like this last minute . The lavender is now dried and turned into sachets.

Behold the product of obsession -learning to sew to take care of six little labubus.
June 19, 2025 at 3:45 PM
The labubus need clothes . So I have forced myself to relearn how to use a machine after 30plus years or more. After I play around with this a few more days I’ll get back to writing / editing and reading a backlog of books .

wow . i like hardcover . given that the soft and hard cover price has narrowed wondering if should just drop paper .

Not active in #ffxiv for a bit; things are still too weird in life and having this break is needed. But wish those of you in that sandbox well!

Meanwhile, still playing HSR. (Free game is winning.)

Yes, making books. Trying different covers for Paper and hardcover.

I love these ugly babies. I think I need more. But I might just settle for giving them clothes.

Last one is another enamel pin which I would revise if I ever did again, but given the tariff situation, implausible.

While I don't have anymore Grade As of some I made over the last few years, there are Grade B-C's around should anyone be super interested.

Some of these might never be made again because TARIFFS (laments Artscow) . Interestingly the standee and charm here were made by InkitLabs so potentially could be reprinted.
