Look what showed up yesterday. I was planning to take this in to the office to be my work mug if they're renewed my contract. But they didn't. Oh well, it's a sharp-looking little mug for home use too.

Of course they booed her; she wasn't supposed to make a deal.

This was never about a pipeline that is likely never going to be built anyway. This was meant to be a wedge issue that the maple MAGA folks in the UCP could use to stir up anger and dissent.

It is a cold and grey November day. A featureless sky delivers sporadic flurries that eddy on the front street, dancing and pirouetting like ephemeral marionettes compelled by the invisible strings of the chill wind.

Days like these are why they invented hot tea. #Winnipeg

The app for my ancient Pebble watch stopped working a couple of years ago after an Android update killed it. I heard that there was a new version out, though, so I installed it today.

I fired it up, synced the watch, and I'm back in business.

There was even a firmware update for the watch.

It looks like Canada has borrowed China's policy of "ignore them and do nothing." So far, so good.

We've even quit returning calls to negotiate trade until they stop being unserious. Other countries have too. That might explain the recent angry sounds coming from the meat hole of their ambassador.

Whenever I hear somebody say something along the lines of, "I'm a truth-teller, and many people can't handle that," I mentally translate it to, "I'm a rude jerk with the social maturity of a 5-year-old who has no filter between their brain and their mouth."

European leaders are rejecting this. I wonder why?

Some random highlights: Russia gets everything it wanted, gets readmitted to the G8, and receives a cash infusion. The US gets a $100B participation prize. Europe must pay $100B. US gets Ukraine mineral rights, and 50% from all investments, etc.

I can't imagine being one of the poor servers in this chain.

This restaurant offers "Fish & Chips", but unless you specifically order it with a side of fries, all you get is fish. No chips.

I wonder if their "bacon & eggs" only comes with eggs unless you order a side of bacon?
