A woman commented that her son had a severe case and he killed himself 3 weeks ago. On her page she had posted a fundraiser for funeral expenses. He had planned out his last message to be released upon his death, and his friend put it on a shirt to raise money. He was obviously a beautiful person.

Got this email this afternoon. I was supposed to virtually attend the NIH's rare disease day event next week. I don't believe the bullshit excuses one bit. I have no faith it'll ever come back. This is thanks to @rfkjrbrainworm.com and the fElon

There are extreme measures I have to take in order to stay comfortable when I have to go anywhere. I figured out that keeping my core cool will help prevent the hand and face flares, so I bought an ice pack that I can strap to my stomach. That, plus a tanktop, handheld fan and sandals to change into

I'm not holding my breath that this will work for EM, but I'm definitely going to try it once it's out (April?) Either way, it's good news for an alternative to opioids, and it also opens the door for better meds now that this technology is available for these pain channels.

When Goliath accidentally dug his nail into my chilblains blister this evening, I needed to cry, and I can't because that just causes more pain. So instead I popped an Ativan and finished this guy.

In 2016, I bought 3 of these stickers. I put one on the back of my car at the time and tucked the other 2 away, but I always knew exactly where they were. And now I have to pull them out again.

Had to take Goliath to the vet for his yearly exam. I was dreading it because I knew I'd be in world of pain in a hot room. What I didn't expect was my hands to be way worse than my feet. This is why I'm 95% housebound. Taking him was a necessary evil for both of us. He's 12 and totally healthy.
