I have applied what I learned to a new project and created something completely my own. 🎀

Honestly thought this would be a redundant activity, but there was a surprising amount of trial and error involved in getting these shapes right.

It's tiny on purpose because it's a logo.

We have objects! And custom colors!

I feel this whole "drawing shapes" bit has clicked a lot faster than the "download Pygames" bit. Still not sure where all the extra dead space comes from; the right & bottom have a lot more white than the book's example. 🤔

The real joke of it all is I just didn't want to figure out how to get dice rolls and card deck pulls to work in a google sheet and thought building a simple little program would be easier. I was wrong, but if I don't have to fiddle with formulas then I'm still winning.

On social media, I agree, but on a grander scale I feel writing ends up with more weight in terms of storytelling: more outlets for publication, less labor involved, and more stable platforms for self publishing.
