I have applied what I learned to a new project and created something completely my own. 🎀

Honestly thought this would be a redundant activity, but there was a surprising amount of trial and error involved in getting these shapes right.

It's tiny on purpose because it's a logo.

I feel this whole "drawing shapes" bit has clicked a lot faster than the "download Pygames" bit. Still not sure where all the extra dead space comes from; the right & bottom have a lot more white than the book's example. 🤔

Getting Pygame to work almost put me in an early grave. I shoulda just stuck with good ole text based but here we are; I hope pygames turns out to be everything I dreamed of.

Tis the season for Halloween fondue~~ 👻

Cheese and spam is my favorite. Our first movie is Oddity.
A table with a pumpkin tablecloth spread with food. There's a big pot of cheese fondue and a smaller pot of chocolate fondue. A big plate in the foreground has sweets (pound cake, rice krispie treats, strawberries), and a big trat in the back has savory items (spam, green bean, hotdogs). Smaller bowls have bread, pretzels, and marshmallows. There are cute pink ghost plates. The same scene but pumpkin tea lights make atmospheric lighting in the dark.

I found a kid lit art challenge so I'm going to try that with baby-ified ocs; there's a lot about the kidlit style I've wanted to try, so I guess this is the month I do.

So far not managing to deviate much from my usual art style, but maybe I can bring it back around with the line art.

Some are reasonable (animal umbrella), some are head scratchers (3D-printed jewelry), and a few are incomprehensible (solar-powered pack). I don't think kids should be running 3D printers. Yes I can type them all out on request. Yes I will be skipping some of the weirder ones. Yes I would love it if you dropped alternate prompts in the comments. A dark photo of a sketchbook page with an incomplete pencil drawing on it; there are a lot of structure lines. Three children are posed in Halloween costumes: a scarecrow, a little cat, and a kid who currently has no costume just a tin funnel in his head. Little doodles on the left have simple drafts of their costumes (so I can swatch colors later). If you've seen my OCs, the little figure in the middle is Rim Baris. On the left is her older sister, and on the right is her cousin. Since the challenge is kid lit, I'm going to present this with a little scrap of story when I'm finished.

Turkey tail is easily one of my favorite mushrooms at this point; it's delightfully colorful. Working with the glossy effect on the wax cap was a joy.

My sister tried to teach me a trick to run short Careers for Sakura Bakushin O for events.

Instructions unclear: made max speed, triple goose egg veteran Bakushin.

I got my first horse into the URA Finale Finals & my first B Rank career with Haru Urara~🌸💕

I only had one horse get past the Qualifier before this so I was super not expecting it to happen for Haru! 😊

Whooo! Finally beat Symboli Rudolph! Didn't think any of my horses were strong enough for these challenges yet, but it's nice to be wrong. 🐎

(Also got to witness a draw. Both of us loosing to an npc sure is something.)

So far the book (Steven King, The Institute) has had a [city I live in] AND a Wickles mention. He's really going full yeehaw with this one. 🤠

Also, another #WIP. This hood is slow going.

But back to the audio book: I was really expecting a "Please Insert Disc 2" message. So disappointed...
