All that matters to the Republicans is that the bill is popular to their donors.
poll after poll shows that Trump's big bill is very unpopular

The cruelty is the point.
Don't overlook this: Trump is leaving Abrego Garcia to rot in a foreign gulag even though the admin can always bring him back and *retry him for deportation in a lawful way.* That they won't do this shows their case against him is nonsense.

New piece from me:

Trump’s Horrifying Removal of Man in “Error” Takes an Even Darker Turn
The Trump administration could allow Kilmar Abrego Garcia back into the U.S. and try to deport him through proper channels. So why won’t it even do that?

Is there more gold leaf in the Oval Office than there ever was before, or am I just imagining it...?
Trump: "I invaded Los Angeles and we opened up the water and the water is now flowing down. They have so much water they don't know what to do ... we broke in to do it."

This is as succinct and accurate a description as I've seen of what is happening in the U.S. Play the video if you understand French.
French Senator Claude Malhuret:

"Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine... We were at war with a dictator, we are now at war with a dictator backed by a traitor."

How can any union leader utter such a pusillanimous statement? Absolutely shameful.
Teamsters President Sean O'Brien downplays Trump's reckless firings of federal workers: "We don't want to see anybody losing their jobs, but he thinks he's within his right."

I've come to the conclusion that watching Musk and his tech bros ravage the institutions of government is proof that we should have been shoveling money into the humanities and starving STEM. Of course we've done the opposite and we are reaping the whirlwind.

Most of those who voted for him wouldn't even be able to form that sentence....
The people who voted for Trump because they thought he’d pull the U.S. back from foreign entanglements and overseas adventurism are really among the prime suckers of our era.

Let me rewrite that head for you: "How Trump's Actions Are Violating the Law." See, it's not that hard. Pusillanimous dinks...
President Trump has opened the throttle on blowing through apparent legal limits, often with no clear public explanation for how their actions could be consistent with the rule of law. Here are some examples of the administration’s defiance of statutes. nyti.ms/4aKnKRP

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

Sorry, don't believe that headline for one minute. Hope I'm wrong...
MAGA Senators are going to realize that Trump administration policies are going to fail miserably, and their names, reputations and legacies will be attached to this disgraceful era of our history. Start rejecting Trump now and return order to America.

Just watched a brief clip of Trump meeting Macron the other day at the Élysée Palace. Has anyone noticed how old Trump looks? I mean even more than a few months ago?
