I’m not an insider, but as an American living in Europe for almost 30yrs, I think they want to:
1- keep Trump out of jail
2- deregulate to the benefit of large corporations, donors, lobbyists
3- destroy public services
4- turn the US into an oligarchic-run state
5- degrade free & fair elections
