Not Actually a Cat

I’m not actually a cat who enjoys drinking out of swimming pools.
Today I’m thankful that I work for an employer who treats the Friday after thanksgiving as a paid holiday. I spent so many years in the banking industry (and before that with a crappy stingy employer) where that wasn’t the case.

America's most notorious child rapist, Jeffrey Epstein, said this man was the worst person he'd ever met. Let that sink in.

If the right *truly* believed Charlie Kirk was a defender of free speech and someone who was fine with dissenting opinions, they wouldn't be engaged in a massive campaign to punish anyone who didn't "mourn him properly."

They clearly know all of that is bullshit. Only the media was conned.

Once again, I'm struck by the fact that the one thing all these shooters have in common is, uh, the guns?

Why do I say “pregnant people” sometimes?

Bc #AmericaHatesWomen. And I think “maybe if I can get Americans to think of anyone pregnant as an actual person & not just an incubator, then maybe they won’t stand for the eroding of reproductive freedoms?”
Oh also it’s inclusive of transmen & that’s ok.

I’d Donald Trump were smart, he’d do a re-do of Reagan’s 1980’s immigration reform which included amnesty, but he’d put some real penalties for businesses that deliberately employ undocumented labor. But that will never happen, because he is not smart, and because businesses would hate it.

Week 3 post partial right knee replacement. My “pandemic purchase” portable ballet barre is coming in very handy to do the standing portion of my home PT with. 😺

At risk of undertraining recently, Fitbit? Hmm, I wonder why? Could it be that whole “recovering from surgery” thing I’ve had going on lately? 😹😹😹

The life of Sapphire the Cat - cozy blanket on one side, ice pack on the other. Yes, she voluntarily cuddled up to the ice pack on my knee. And she’s really loving my knee elevation pillow.

For all my non-Los Angeles friends and family; we are safe and not in the vicinity of any fires (at least for now). The winds are scary and loud, though. And a community theater I’ve worked with in the past and had hoped to work with again - Theater Palisades- is gone. 😿

Oh no. The cats have realized that I’m shaking the treat bag so I can get them out of the bedroom and lock them out and tonight they were both like “nah, we’re good, we’d rather hang in the forbidden bedroom.” 😹

People not elected to government should not have the power to reshape the government, especially people whose obscene wealth depends on the government functioning a certain way.

This is not a hot take.

It's just plain common sense.

Incredible
Cat food is over-ripe when the can peels open. Experienced cat food harvest workers know to harvest when the can is full size but still tightly closed.

On hiking trails, snow-covered mountainsides and even out on the water, these felines are proving that not all domestic cats are content to simply watch the world from a windowsill.
