Had lots of contextual references to people lately, and one book in particular with a bunch of people using multiple pseudonyms throughout. Not quite as bad but it was a lot to keep straight!

Oh god I get that so much. It’s getting worse as AI gets more popular.

You use to be able to short-circuit out of it by swearing at it. Not sure if that still works.

I think we are in a quantum superposition between democracy and competitive authoritarianism. The 2026 midterms will collapse the wave function: we'll look into the box and see whether the cat is dead or alive.
