DC United fan who somehow ended up in Minnesota. I root for DC United, Washington Spirit, Minnesota Aurora, Liverpool, USMNT, and USWNT.

Occasionally chip in at https://thedistrictpress.com
That was the best and most enjoyable #USMNT match of the year. The only downside is we are still a long way off and a lot can change between now and June. I hope the US can maintain and build on the momentum from this international window.

Tessman makes it 5-1. Reyna provides the assist on the goals that opens Tanner’s #USMNT account.

Bentacur straight red for a foul on Berhalter. Uruguay will play a man down for about 25 minutes. #USMNT showing a willingness to fight on some of these challenges.

Kye Rowles gets the start for Australia in their friendly against Colombia in Queens. Aaron Herrera starts for Guatemala against Suriname.

The #USMNT has scored 4 or more goals one time this year. That was in the the Golf Cup in June , when they won 5-0 against Trinidad and Tobago in the Gold Cup. There’s potential they could equal or eclipse that total tonight.

A spectacular moment of skill from Arrasceta pulls one back for Uruguay. It’s 4-1 #USMNT at half.
November 19, 2025 at 12:56 AM
Diego Luna! It’s 4-0 #USMNT and we still haven’t hit halftime.
November 19, 2025 at 12:52 AM
Alex Freeman is also feeling it tonight. Second goal of the night and second #USMNT goal of his career. The rout may be on against Uruguay.
November 19, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Uruguay just misses pulling one back. Still along way to go for the #USMNT.
November 19, 2025 at 12:38 AM
In the past this is the type of game the #USMNT would take their foot off the gas and let an opponent back in. I would like them to keep the pressure on and have them find 1 or 2 more goals.
November 19, 2025 at 12:34 AM
Sheesh, almost immediately Berhalter finds Freeman on a corner who puts it past Fiermarín. It’s Freeman’s first #USMNt goal. 2-0 US less than. 29 minutes in. Have a night Sebastian Berhalter.
November 19, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Berhalter with a possible little bit of CONCACAf shithousery moving the ball on the second free kick. But he makes no mistake on the return pass from Dest to make it 1-0 #USMNT.

I 100% agree with Minneapolis/St. Paul’s ranking here. It’s a great area for women’s sports. The @pwhlfrost.bsky.social and @mnaurorafc.bsky.social are not only good teams but fun atmospheres. DC however is ranked way too low!

Just in time for the NWSL championship this week, the Bay asserts itself as the best place — according to our @theathletic.com staff vote — for women’s sports in the U.S. Some surprises in here, even for me!

I’m on deck today with the results ⤵️

The Bay Area earned the top spot in our first-ever city ranking, and the No. 2 city might surprise you.

@838carlisle.bsky.social with spot on analysis of Trinity Rodman’s contract situation and just where NWSL is as a league. Simple solution: Pay players what they are worth.

The November International Window is halfway done. What D.C. United and Loudoun United players have seen the field for their countries? How have they done? Who still has a shot to make the Word Cup final next year? Checkout out our International Update.
International Update: How Have D.C. United and Loudoun United Players Done While Away?
The Men’s International Window is half over. D.C. United and Loudoun United have a combined five players on duty across four international rosters. Three players saw the field in the first round of games and acquitted themselves well, scoring two goals. Team results, however, were not entirely reflective of these performances and tended to be on the disappointing end. Aarron Herrera and Arquímides Ordóñez (Guatemala)

When you see the Spirit play on tv it’s apprentice this team is special. Seeing them live, it’s apparent there is a whole nother level. There’s a team bond, a vibe, and a skill that doesn’t come across on the TV. It’s a fun team.
