That was the best and most enjoyable #USMNT match of the year. The only downside is we are still a long way off and a lot can change between now and June. I hope the US can maintain and build on the momentum from this international window.

Bentacur straight red for a foul on Berhalter. Uruguay will play a man down for about 25 minutes. #USMNT showing a willingness to fight on some of these challenges.

The #USMNT has scored 4 or more goals one time this year. That was in the the Golf Cup in June , when they won 5-0 against Trinidad and Tobago in the Gold Cup. There’s potential they could equal or eclipse that total tonight.

In the past this is the type of game the #USMNT would take their foot off the gas and let an opponent back in. I would like them to keep the pressure on and have them find 1 or 2 more goals.

Sheesh, almost immediately Berhalter finds Freeman on a corner who puts it past Fiermarín. It’s Freeman’s first #USMNt goal. 2-0 US less than. 29 minutes in. Have a night Sebastian Berhalter.

I 100% agree with Minneapolis/St. Paul’s ranking here. It’s a great area for women’s sports. The @pwhlfrost.bsky.social and @mnaurorafc.bsky.social are not only good teams but fun atmospheres. DC however is ranked way too low!

Happy Monday! And it's a happy one because...there's a NWSL Final on Saturday and our Washington Spirit are in it!! Confident Washington Spirit shut out Portland Thorns in 2-0 semifinal win (DP) What a game on Saturday! The Spirit take out Portland to book their second straight trip to the NWSL Final! They will face Gotham FC, who beat Orlando on virtually the last kick of the match in the other semifinal.

International Update: How Have D.C. United and Loudoun United Players Done While Away?
The Men’s International Window is half over. D.C. United and Loudoun United have a combined five players on duty across four international rosters. Three players saw the field in the first round of games and acquitted themselves well, scoring two goals.
