Movies You Should See #10:
Cutie Honey (2004)
What would you get if you made a movie based on a Magical Girl anime, told the actors to overact as hard as possible, gave the Director Ketamine and had someone standing behind him saying "Campier!" constantly?
Answer: This movie. And it's perfect.

Additional Thoughts:
I could write a thesis about this movie. Alan Alda plays the President. Rhea Perlman plays John Candy's gun-happy friend. Rip Torn is a general who thinks Hogan's Heroes is real. Wallace Shawn (Grand Negus Zek) is the PM of Canada. Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, Steven Wright.

Movies You Should See #7:
Unleashed (2005)
What happens if a mobster raises a martial arts prodigy like a dog? Over 90 minutes of Jet Li beating the stuffing out of people, Bob Hoskins chewing scenery, and Morgan Freeman just being great.
This is both good drama AND good martial arts.

Movies You Should See #6:
The Mandela Effect (2019)
If there was EVER a movie that rewarded repeat watches, this would be it. If you know what the Mandela Effect is, then this movie is more or less what you'd expect with the premise of a man trying to abuse it to save his daughter.

Movies You Should See #5:
Basic (2003)
Travolta and Jackson in a Rashomon-esque thriller that has so many twists you'd swear it was written on a Twizzler. It has great dialogue and you get to see Samuel L Jackson as the military instructor you never realized he would be amazing at.

Movies You Should See #4:
Spectral (2016)
Black Hawk Down with ghosts.
This was backed by Universal who cancelled it AFTER it was completed and gave it to Netflix. It is everything you want: Action, gadgets and absolutely no romantic subplots. This movie is about violence and ghosts. And it rules.

Movies You Should See #3:
Unthinkable (2010)
Samuel L Jackson and Carrie-Anne Moss in an amazing movie about torture and the balance of human life over the threat of nuclear terrorism. Want to see Jackson in a frighteningly real dramatic role? Here it is.
