So inflation and cost of living has been going up every month since this administration took over…this administration that promised it would all come down on day 1?
Now it’s because of the previous administration?
The one that had nothing to do with tariffing the entire planet?
Makes sense.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.
A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.
When will party leadership learn this lesson?

You didn't get a vote. You got a "promise" of a vote. From a party who is disappearing nannies & gardeners and zip-tying children. A party who has flushed Due Process in America down the toilet. Who has subjugated its Congressional duties to an autocrat. That's what everybody sees, Tim.
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"

It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

I’ve become so petty “who did you vote for?” has become a question I ask before helping my MAGA neighbors. Your husband lost his job and Christmas will be hard this year, I can’t help you bc we are also suffering from your actions. You voted against yourself, enjoy! I know, not the best solution. 😬

If Harris had won last year, millions of people most likely wouldn’t be starving while being kicked of somewhat affordable healthcare weeks before the holidays. Unfortunately racism, misogyny, and toxic stupidity were more important than food, healthcare, housing, or work. Are we great yet?

On Tuesday, Americans sent Democrats a resounding message.
“Fight for us”
“Fight for working class Americans”
“Fight against Trump’s corruption, criminality and cruelty”
5 days later, Democrat Senators sent Americans a resounding message.

If you think the people throwing Great Gatsby-esque parties for themselves, while millions were denied their food assistance, are all of a sudden going to grow a conscience and save affordable healthcare, you clearly have not been paying attention.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.
Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.
The American people need more from their leaders.

If the democrats fold now, what was the point? I know people are really struggling, but it will get way worse if they bend now. Fixing today’s problem won’t fix future problems unless they fight to fix it.
