This is clearly an instance of the wrong file got sent, simple as that. People on the show go through multiple color drafts of assets, someone clearly updated it for the show and some alt or previous version was sent to the company. Flag it to us, sure! but this bad faith attitude is exhausting.

As a survivor I am begging other survivors not to use discomfort and triggers as a way to judge morals. Some survivors take comfort in Val because he is a safe, fictional way to explore trauma. Others like him because he’s multifaceted & interesting. Liking him does not mean his actions are condoned
I can’t believe we still have to be saying this but VALENTINO ISN’T REAL. People can enjoy characters who do horrible things. Fiction is escape, fiction isn’t reality. if you cannot grasp that you don’t have the maturity to engage with media, and especially the REAL people involved in making media.
