Having so many thoughts about Maxim tonight. Like the music and composers I connect with him. I think, when he’s allowed to play whatever he wants and can just sit at the piano and let go, he plays Chopin. It’s what he grew up learning, and Nocturne Op9 No2 feels like an old, familiar friend to him.
