I first heard of him on 'Think with Pinker' on BBC Sounds. I was on the app listening to similar content, spotted it, gave it a go. Being on the BBC definitely legitimized the content, I think I was naive enough to assume there was some level of due diligence. I'm not under that illusion anymore.

Also, rapid weight loss, followed by rapid weight gain may shift evenly distributed fat to belly fat during the process. This is the highest risk type of fat in relation to cancer, diabetes, etc. Losing, then regaining even the same amount of weight can be negative, rather than neutral.

I assume of course that Laura K had a trans person on for balance?
Also, this narrative about gender stereotypes being the fault of social media? WTF?!? These stereotypes have been around forever! She should be arguing for tackling that so we can all be free to be ourselves, trans or otherwise.

This is a little misleading. Participants were put on a calorie restricted diet AND ate traditional food. Which 'worked'?
Most people who lose weight quickly will regain most, if not all, and increase their amount of belly fat which is riskier for cancer, diabetes etc.
Maybe check back in a year.

I wasn't identified as a SEND kid. Later, I struggled with addiction & poor mental health. I lost all my savings & had to rely on benefits. I accessed GP & NHS services just to stay alive.
I am not alone. Others end up in prison. Or worse.
SEND is an investment which provides longer term savings.

This is bullshit. IT might need to add a 'blank' option to a drop down menu, so that a form doesn't flag as being incomplete.
This can be and is done frequently.
As for calling a patient, always first name and surname to minimise confusion. Could be a number of Mr Smiths in a waiting room!

Reminds me of this revelation, which somehow flew under the radar of a lot of the British public:
