But how can I say what needs to be said? How can I go into work and say with a straight face that I'm having difficulty because I'm terrified that my friends are going to lose the healthcare that they so desperately need? How can I face the fact that if I did that, I'd likely be met with blank, incurious faces and the *a priori* assumption that I'm just being dramatic? How do I face the fact that, to make the money to keep myself alive, I need to exist in an environment that denies that anything about me or my life could *possibly* hurt that much?

We received a stunning letter (with something special attached) this week from a man incarcerated in Virginia. We want to share it with you all.

Tldr: Books change lives. BOOKS CHANGE LIVES. And we couldn’t have helped this scholar without you. Thank you for your support.

The damage in the hard hit areas was so severe, I'm shocked when I hear people saying it was just a hurricane, they're used to them.

Oh, I love this. A new species of sea anemone was discovered recently that parks itself on top of a hermit crab shell like a hat. It seems to feed partly off the crab's faeces, but it also excretes a hard shell that extends the crab's home. In return, it's carried around the seafloor like a king.

What you're getting from an LLM is a statistical approximation of what the answer would be to a statistical approximation of the question.

This is why prompt engineering is fake. The prompt (and any input data) is just a suggestion - and helps fool you into thinking that your question was answered.
