Spent time this weekend with a very old friend who’s been doing immigration law for the last 20 years. He’s plenty mad and plenty worried. But he’s also buckled down and doing his work. I think the closer you get to the actual thing the less you are doom-spiraling.

This is heart-breaking and is unfortunately increasingly common Turkey. In this heated exchange, young Syrian kids are being showered with xenophobic comments and are being subjected to physical violence. They’re being told to go back to where they came from in the ugliest way possible.
