The #TarakhovskyLab, as part of an international team of scientists, has identified a new molecular pathway that shifts microglia into a protective state. The findings may lead to Alzheimer's therapies that can reprogram the brain’s own immune defenses.

Everyone should listen to Chris Murphy's extraordinary warning about Trump on our pod. First, he says the logic must be that the more lawless he gets, the stiffer the resistance.

"If I give in and consent to these kinds of tactics then it just normalizes it all." 1/

We are witnessing the destruction of the remnants of Turkey’s already agonizing parliamentary democracy, as police forces occupy the Istanbul headquarters of the main opposition party, firing tear gas and plastic bullets both inside and outside against party members, MPs, and protesters.

“It’s so New York.” ❤️
A Muslim son of immigrants might become mayor of NYC in part because he cross endorsed and supported a Jewish candidate and Black candidate, and vice versa.

It's a beautiful American story for the rest of us. A nightmare for all the right people ;)

Donald Trump just unilaterally bombed Iran. A masked gang is terrorizing our streets. America has rapidly devolved into an authoritarian state.

That's why, today, The Onion has purchased a full page ad in today's New York Times with a simple plea to Congress:

Sit back and do absolutely nothing.

Trump & my Republican colleagues want to throw 16 million Americans off health care – on top of 85 million who are uninsured or underinsured.

Their actions will cause more than 50,000 Americans to die unnecessarily each year.

Why? So they can give massive tax breaks to the 1%.
