This is a 397-year-old Greenland Shark, born in 1627! It is the old living vertebrate known on the planet. In his younger days he went drinking with Charles II, Isaac Newton and JS Bach. He once told Samuel Pepys to "fuck off, diary cunt".

Don't write off the elderly, they've led quite a life.

This is such an unlikely subject which resulted in a wonderfully rich pamphlet.
Struck by the sense of what's reflected back from a pond in this poem from 'Ovarium' by Joanna Ingham, a pamphlet published by The Emma Press about a giant ovarian cyst.
