One of the themes of our new police state is the sheer lack of professionalism. They can't do the basics, and when challenged, double down. A dysfunctional organizational culture deeply suspicious of the society they are tasked with controlling.

They misidentified the intern. The judge told them they had misidentified the intern. But instead of double checking, they took that as an affront to their authority. So they surrounded the judge's car and threatened to smash the windows to get to the intern.

They had misidentified the intern.
The part where they threatened to break a judge’s car windows should be a bigger story … they feel comfortable treating judges this way, which means they are being told that they can do literally anything to nearly everyone

I think he gets the point. E.g.,

"[A]fter ... exchanging some emails ... laying out what I was and wasn’t interested in speaking about, I agreed to an interview. I did this because, in ways you might think I’d have outgrown by now, I’m a fucking idiot." And the last two paragraphs nail it home.

The only truly devestating interview you could do with Trump is a series of factual questions asked by someone with no affect: “How does a bill become a law?” “Name three countries where American troops are stationed.” “Will you be raising tariffs on Wakanda?”

I have heard her discuss analogues to PILOT — to get resources from colleges/universities, various nonprofits. She described models for using such funds to contribute to new economic development in their neighborhoods. I *think* this may be that idea. But I can’t find specifics, either.
