In the absence of meaningful direction, we create heaven on earth. Heaven for a writer is being understood fully and clearly at all times. You have to trust your reader to see past the pageantry.

Also genuinely need to pat myself on the back for making an insane stand fight with magic and guns actually *work*. Or, at least, I really hope it does, lol.

Good news is that there's only one more scene needed to connect it with the back half, and I'm done writing! Bad news is that it's going to take a decent amount of editing to whip this into shape. Writing a 10k action scene out of order and almost entirely through word sprints isn't ideal
