I think knowing your media limits is all well and good, and being candid about the fact that reading may be difficult for you is nothing to be ashamed of.

The weird smug, self defeating pride variety of this, though, that's where I start sort of raising eyebrows.

Daydreaming and using our imagination is why we’re even alive at all
Not all daydreaming is "maladaptive" daydreaming is not inherently bad. Using your imagination to tell yourself little stories is free fun and entertainment. Its not bad to tell yourself stories while you fall asleep. Dreaming and imagining are good things.

I think telling an audience how to interpret a work you’ve created is lame, but I also can understand the artist’s compulsion to do so when willful misinterpretation is rampant these days

There’s always some quota running in my head of work I need to complete and it never leaves me alone. I need to learn to chill.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but there’s nothing wrong with spiritual curiosity. You should feel more than comfortable exploring and believing in world faiths and spiritual beliefs.

A little bit of column a and a little bit of column b
"I'm not a fan of gory movies."

Okay, do you really not like gore, or is it just that Eli Roth sucks?
