Oh I bet it works great for appliqué! I haven’t done much of that yet. Mostly focused on quilts and clothes.

Agreed, lucked into one at goodwill... so great for pressing fabric that i just washed... not super great for pressing seams

Going to work on a woven button-down short sleeved shirt today... hopefully the pattern I picked up at the thrift store has all the pieces :)

Don't watch the machine sew, watch the fabric enter the needle plate and make sure the seam allowance stays consistent there and it'll be right at the needle.

I've been looking for pattern drafting books and resources, the ones that seem good seem very expensive(they may be textbooks).

+1 to this. I believe that the open office floorplan raises my anxiety level like 10% or something because I never get to feel like I'm alone or have my own space. I miss being remote to be honest.
