Today’s achievement, if it can be called that. Copied a thrifted McCall’s pattern to try out.

Ended up cutting a muslin for a shirt again. But been busy today so not sure I'm going to do any more sewing tonight. Did just get some brownies in the oven though so that should be a tasty regret.

Got the red owl finished! pics show each owl with the machine they were sewn on. Really fun and chill way to make a quilt block but definitely a lot of wasted fabric. Fortunately all my FPP fabric is thrifted!

Next up adding sashing and making quilt block rows. Might start that tomorrow...

Finally got the 301 working... I spent most of the morning diagnosing it.. and it was mostly that i had threaded the needle left-to-right which is incorrect on this machine.. first time I've ever seen that.

Did get some actual sewing done today..

Fun afternoon with my spouse working on some cute owl blocks. Got about 1/3 of the way with one block but was good practice and have all the colors picked out for one more block after. FPP is so relaxing because I can really just zone out and repeat the steps over and over until the block si done.

Ok. Got some parts for my 500As. Never taken the motor apart before. Hope it all goes back together.

Managed to get the pieces cut for a shirt. Now to get the courage to build a placket. Maybe tonight but most likely towards the end of the week.

Did a little sewing today on my treadle. The block was done earlier but making a pincushion was today. Came out a little wonky(especially hand sewing the close, I am terrible at that bit.

Got all the seams done on the pajama pants. Only things left are the waistband and hemming! Hopefully I'll get those done tomorrow and then we'll see how they fit. This pair has gone much smoother than the past two so far!

This weekends goodwill haul. The sheet will end up pajama pants, the plaid a short sleeved shirt.

Got pajama pants cut tonight. Not a big win but my first time cutting with "fabric scissors" and using a paper pattern. Can't say I'm a huge fan of tissue paper patterns but in some ways it's less stressful than the ditto until i try to fold it back up :P

Trying to learn to hand sew, using the new thimble ring my spouse made me! I think it may be my favorite thing in the world right now!

Last nights sewing. Finished up the blue squares. The red squares and mushrooms I did over thanksgiving with my mom.

Spent some time today working on my 301. Still needs a little cleaning outside. I think the owner may have smoked *while* sewing given where he heavy amount of brown crud is. It's amazing how much quieter it is than my 501s. Can't wait to get it's cabinet tightened up and try it out on a quilt.
