How many classes today were canceled because a whole suite of EdTech services are built atop AWS?

You know what platform never crashes?

Ableism is everywhere.

When you say “only the vulnerable have to worry”… that’s ableism.

When you tell someone to “just try harder”… that’s ableism.

When you ask if someone has pre-existing conditions? That’s ableism.

No social justice without disability justice and inclusion.

Please stop saying N95 masks prevent facial recognition. First off, they don't. Second, this completely undermines the other more important reason we're wearing them and offers up the exact reasoning anti-maskers want to use as an excuse for banning them.

COVID, flu, measles, and all airborne viruses can seriously harm anyone, not just people who are immunocompromised. EVERYONE has a medical reason to wear a mask at any time and in any place.

It’s a horrible reality that many of us are not respected in medical settings when we advocate for ourselves but we require an ally (often with privilege such as male, white, etc) to advocate for basic needs

Something for (sub) #FossilFriday!

Saw a beautiful pair of solitaire skeletons at the Hunterian. These birds were basically the island of Rodrigues' equivalent of a dodo.

Also large, also flightless, also driven to extinction by European colonists 🦤🧪🦉

Is it time series or timeseries? Not grammatically. I know that answer. To me, the singular word represents serial data better. Let me know if you agree and if you have some etymological evidence of when it was first used as a single word.

Sandy beaches are beloved recreational settings, and they are also one of the world’s most endangered ecosystems. Up to 70% of California’s beaches may disappear by the end of this century
