Bit of fun tuning this Dale, Forty. upright at #Dunkertons #Cheltenham yesterday for the splendid Guy Chambers. Part of the Cheltenham Lit Fest. It’s a great venue, but basically an outside space with space-heaters, and the stage is next to the beer coolers, so not the quietest tuning environment!

The “Recycling Centre” at Wingmoor near Cheltenham is not worthy of the name. You can actually recycle far less than you could before, much having to go into non-recyclable. The speed bumps wrecked one of my alloys at 20mph, so well done creating business for the ‘metals’ section which indeed exists

Piano tuner came this afternoon and my instrument once again sounds beautiful. In a world of AI slop and junk, there’s something life-affirming about watching a human craftsman at work.

More historical bits from Dale, Forty & Co.

Another shot of Brum city centre, and the Erdington branch, below Mother’s/Carlton Ballroom, the birthplace of so much Brum Rock. The Moodies’ Mellotron walked there from Fort Fort Dunlop Social Club I expect.
