Hmm. With solar energy, the big explosions take place 93 million miles away
A fireball lit up the sky across the Los Angeles area on Thursday night after an explosion at a Chevron refinery in El Segundo, alarming nearby residents who said it felt like an earthquake. The cause of the explosion was not clear. No injuries were reported. nyti.ms/42pPCaW

Never refuse your children a bedtime story, even if you're shattered.
One night, it will be the last time you read one to them and you won't even realise it.

I remember coming into teaching from industry and finding it bizarre that thousands of teachers across the UK were planning almost from scratch every day whilst often teaching the same content. So much wasted opportunity to build consensus, resources, professional links... and reduce workloads!
Composite Planning (vs solo planning).

My new book "About Time" includes some "makes" like the one below. As a science teacher, I want children to see / experience the natural phenomena that we are studying - there’s an *emotional* difference between reading about how something works and seeing it for yourself www.dk.com/uk/book/9780...

It’s quite easy being veggie if you like and can cook Indian food. I’ve collected together some of my favourite recipes which you can download from this page alomshaha.com/simple-sag-a...
It doesn't have to mean giving up meat entirely or never flying or living miserably and without joy, but if all of us do what we can to reduce emissions, we also send the message to politicians and others in power that this is what matters to us. Eating less meat is a good place to start.
Grew up terrified of nuclear holocaust. Now terrified of apocalyptic consequences of climate change. Difference is that it didn't feel like there was much I could do about nuclear war but there is stuff people like me can do to help fight climate change, including eating less meat, flying less often
