vaccination policy seems like an unusually clear example where a relatively small change in policy can lead to decreased percentage of people vaccinated, meaning one rogue measles case blows up into an epidemic that kills and maims people (ie, it has a profound effect on people's lives)

it's a situation where there are government employees whose actual job is to vet people's level of education around vaccine research before they hire them

A racist changing is not dependent upon having contact with the people they have harmed. It is not dependent on forgiveness from the people they have harmed. It is not on black people to put themselves in harm's way so a bigot can practice being a decent human being. To expect that is highly unfair.

I think that's the main factor, but it probably also doesn't help that someone made it legal for people to get a crippling gambling addiction at home via a phone app these days

not the biggest scandal ever, but enough of one for Disney to want to bury it, and I think that must have been one of the weirder things to have a memory of watching as a kid, but be unable to prove it was real
