I agree with sense of your comment. Used the term to emphasize that Kelly‘s “barely legal” defense even on its own terms was a lie.

I said maybe because I’m not certain about the governing laws. But it wouldn’t be surprising for his DOJ to raise the issue with the courts — dumping the thing into an extended process. Abusing legal process has been a Trump specialty since the 70s.

A 15 year old isn’t “barely legal.” It’s statutory rape. And even those who reached the age of majority were abused.

I disagree. The value of any currency is ultimately dependent on a state's willingness to enforce contracts. That's inherently a function of state power. Given that there's no evidence that a decentralized currency adds anything but opportunities for fraud and criminal transactions.
