Arguably my favourite non-commissioned remix work by anyone - Dave Angel's 'Nightmare Mix' version of Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics, initially releaed as a white label before RCA made it official. youtu.be/GQ1dBuXFzgo

I loved this Shelter album so much in the 1990s. This was "Krishnacore" at its finest - super high energy level with a great ear for melodic twists. It still makes me feel very nostalgic whenever I put it on.

I'm convinced that there's a whole genre of 'collaborations' and remixes that only exists because the Spotify 'Release Radar' exists. I'll give these guys the benefit of the doubt and assume that technically this is not AI slop - but it's getting harder to distinguish.

Lovely interview footage with tech house legend Dave Angel about his approach to making music - always inspiring.

The name Lustmord always made me keep my distance from Brian Williams' work but Heresy from 1990 is an incredible piece of brooding and sinister sounding ambient music - I would love to hear this over big speakers.

I still make a lot of music, but releases have become fewer. I only put something out when I feel I have something new to contribute - with stricter quality control.

"The lost era of Netlabels" - I saw someone say that on Reddit and immediately felt a lump in my throat. Those were good times - tons of questionable mastering and terrible cover art, but also a whole universe of genuinely interesting music.

Rejected cover art - the label guys (cc @strategictaper.bsky.social) did not understand that true art is meant to be provocative and get you out of your aesthetic comfort zone.

I’m buying this theory 💯
My little theory is, AC/DC sounded the most dangerous before they got their iconic logo - it's the pre-branding period.

Another performance by The Rita that has to be seen to be believed - at one point he puts on a diving mask and dunks his head in a tub of water, triggering the sound through a contact mic. Harsh noise doesn't get much more... committed than this. youtu.be/TD39L-6SPrY
