This is a school. I wish my school had Gargoyles and a jazzy porch to the teacher accomodation block.

Best bit of the holiday!

Had a great day at the British Library exhibition on medieval women in their own words. Amazing things learned and pretty things seen.

Not really a recipe as such but I've got a dressing recipes that jazzes things up. You can swap out pumpkin for any mushed fruit or veg (beetroot, mango, mixed berries, peach, apple...) typed in alt text.

Tea and treats with a book, as 2025 has started with a desire of the weather fairies to keep me at home.

Waking up to Christmas morning at my parents. In the "storage room" while the roof insulation is redone. And a wee donation to @centrepointuk.bsky.social

I passed my reading goals this weekend (to read the same amount as the previous year)
On suggestion I upped them all by 10% and I'm just a bit intimidated by being 200 pages behind now.

Last one for tonight!
Love the use of light colour and positioning here (classic for a reason) great storytelling but also so personal.
(I am slightly obsessed with Christian art and use it loads in my lessons)

Possibly not the best photo...I couldn't really lie on my back. I also find this one awesome in the literal sense. I feel it gets the power so well to put it on a ceiling and have God staring down at you. Also winged wheels.

Oh no! This could be a long one!
This is up there as there are so many little hidden bits in it. Tells a story properly.

#teamRE can you help me?

My usual "I spy saints" training as a child came up with nowt for these two.

Dragon in a chalice I'm particularly intrigued by. Mam thinks it is a phoenix not a dragon and is St Benedict but cannot tell me why or what the story would be. I thought he was just a monk.

I went on a walk. It was quite muddy.

I have a strong need to discuss 'Gypsies and Jesus' with another RE teacher. I'm learning a tonne and keep having flashes of inspiration about how this might help teach some theological ideas.

Anyone in #teamRE read it?

Ok #TeamRE this is my church crawl contribution. Orthodox monasteries and Transylvanian Fortified Churches of Romania. Ft. Amazingly carved miniature crosses and stunning mosaics
