I feel like it would have been both easy and anti-inflammatory to put the word "Incorrectly" after our Glorious Conservative Leader's name in the title, given the data present in the article, but what do I know www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

Our Ontario Premier is a joke. Sure, invoke the for-emergencies-only NWC to remove bike lanes that won’t reduce a lick of congestion but will get people killed. Making a mockery of provincial government every day.
New: Doug Ford is leaving open the possibility of invoking the notwithstanding clause to remove three Toronto bike lanes.

“Let's see what happens at the Court of Appeal, and then we'll go from there."

Truly selfishness over safety. See it no other way.
62% of Torontonians say main streets should "offer a balance to all road users" including transit, pedestrians and cyclists — but not many PC voters agree.

Most Toronto Tories said main streets "should be prioritized for car traffic or parking."

I reached out to Canada’s foreign affairs minister’s office yesterday to get a comment on the U.S. slapping sanctions on the UN’s special rapporteur on Palestine, Francesca Albanese.

What they ended up saying about this latest attack on international law was…timid, to say the least:

Just got in the UPX at Bloor, airport bound. Loads of regular commuters got off & train still crowded. Travellers & commuters. You see the potential for more. The unambition of Metrolinx is such a profound shame. All Ford’s watch.

Due process. It’s about time Ford was held to that standard.
Ontario Divisional Court has denied leave for the Ford government to appeal the injunction currently preventing them from removing bike lanes in Toronto, forcing the govt to wait until the trial court issues a decision.

(CP had it first.)
