Fabulous progress, well done. Good luck with the bulk.
My unsolicited opinion is keep the bulk really short and then cut some more. You have plenty of muscle and at say 195- 200 you'd really see that some more. Every time I cut, I have people telling me I've put size on.

That's magnificent.

Graham Greene's lewd sequel, 'The Power and the Glory Hole'

Thanks v much. I just found out the real dude is well known (I'd never heard of him, but he is), BlueSky isn't mentioned on his website. There's zero possibility he's interested in my welfare. Account reported & blocked. What a pair of knob-ends - me for being naive, him/them for being nefarious.

Yep, three 'connects'. I will see if I can find out about the bsky account. Thank you!

2/2 He says it's a matter of getting eyes on your book. Can I pass my name onto his publicist, who has done wonders? Responses seem v fast and AI-like.
I mean, unless he's awfully nice, it seems fishy. So, is this a well-known modus operandi? Has the author's identity been stolen? How does it work?

Wow, that's great.

Pectastic. Looking good. I'm carrying more adipose on one love handle than you've got distributed over your whole upper body.

Ha ha, that's fabulous! Impressive commitment. You must rattle when you walk.

V nice, well done!
I find keeping decades of lifting records enables me to visualise in depressingly scientific detail my age-related deterioration. At 49, I was benching 337 x 6 or 265 x 12. Now at 63, I can just about manage 265 x 3 (and I'm seeing Jesus on the third rep).

Here's my true boiler man story. About three years after we had a new boiler fitted, British Gas told us that regs now meant that, due its location, it needed better fireproofing. We got a tradesman. He took one look at the set-up and said, "Cah, who fitted the boiler like THIS?"

Answer: "You did."

I had the same reaction, and I think you've identified the reason: our self-selected samples.

Utterly depressing.

I'm there too. So far, I've found that guessing at indistinct letters and digits, and a truly awe-inspiring amount of cursing, are seeing me through (so to speak). But it's only a matter of time.

Bless them for that - just when I thought it was absolutely inescapable.

Everywhere I turn, there's another bandwagon-jumping megacorp cramming AI down my throat.

That's not really 'the planet' though, is it?

[It's OK, understand it's fury-induced hyperbole] 😉

Most have them also seem to have an advanced qualification in Leaving My Engine Running So You Can Inhale My Particulates Because Turning the Key Off And On Is So Much Effort.

I have seen 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' 30 times. And '12 Angry Men' well over that.

Singin' In The Rain, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Ben-Hur, Life of Brian, Fargo, Amélie, The Big Country, Predator - all many many times.

Variety is overrated.

Best of luck, chap. Is that done over the Intertubes, or would you have to relocate?

Curse her bones for her treatment of Ingrid Bergman and Charlie Chaplin... amongst others.

On the plus side, she did pick a satisfying name for herself.

Hitting thirty is the pits. So much worse than subsequent milestones, for me anyway.

It solves the problem of what to do with the three items bought on the last day of the ironmonger's closing-down sale.
