These #BlackFriday 'deals' are nothing of the sort. The 'great low price' is only for four months. Price rises kick in from April, and for final 8 months you pay £5 more than that 'low price' - total is £550 instead of £480 at £20 per month.
In contract price rises should be banned.

Got a train from Liverpool Street. Had to visit this marvellous Police Post and pretend it was a Tardis. Might past my half-century but still a child

At Grimsby to enjoy some fish and chips. Oh, and the Mighty #Gills as well. Three points and mushy peas please.

I get frustrated with list articles like this where the first entry contains two howlers.
David Tenant was in 2004's Blackpool on BBC One, predating Casanova, and many, many BBC dramas received more than the 'nearly a million viewers'. A record for BBC Three perhaps, but not Auntie as a whole.

Beware! Virgin is changing its contracts to be two years, and upping its already extortionate in-contract price rises to £4. So the price you pay at end of contact will be £8 more.
If you live in an area with ultrafast broadband alternatives, they mau be cheaper. @MartinSLewis

Not sure why I'm missing from this list. Apart from not being a Londoner. Or sexy.

There is something really bugging me about the #DestinationX editing - the diary room commentaries are obviously recorded hours or days later, as the clothes keep changing, but given as if it was a contemporary account

My photo memories of the day include this cutting from December 6, 1999. Back when The Guardian had a thick media supplement every Monday with pages and pages of jobs.
Piers Morgan, then Mirror editor, reflects on the "supposed threat" the net poses to the newspaper industry....
