Is something wrong with Microsoft Windows 11 sleep settings? I've had two laptops that crash and reboot while in sleep mode. It seems to be a common problem but can't see a solution for it. What could be causing it?

New graphics from Target Ovarian Cancer just dropped. I’m really keen to spread the word about symptoms, so please share either my post or the graphic. Other common symptoms include fatigue & changes in bowel habits, it can seem like IBS, and there’s no routine screening.

I have had a very enjoyable 2025 - my #auracast journey started with new hearing aids, morphed into @aurahear.bsky.social and has seen me travel and meet new people. A real privilege. And there's some very exciting stuff around the corner.

I am allergic to my cat. Since I came back from a work trip to Germany in October my eyes have been watering and nose running. Today I cracked and requested a GP appointment. Called at 4pm - can you come in at 4.30pm? Seen and now in pharmacy at 5pm. That is exceptional service on New Year's Eve.

Look who I bumped into doing his Christmas shopping in Reading!

And yes, he knows I would like some Scotch in my stocking.

Things I don't understand: over the past few months the cost of a litre of petrol has gone up, but the cost of a barrel of oil has gone down significantly.

#TheHoliday ... how can Cameron Diaz run through snowy, uneven country lanes in high heels and not look like she's in It's A Knockout? See also cars doing corners at high speed on the High Street

In the 1920s and 30s, newspapers and magazines gave away sheet music as people would gather round the piano for a singalong. The @radiotimes.bsky.social was no exception, and here is its Radio Times tune - enjoy!

I am still coming to terms with my honorary doctorate and all the kind words you've shared. I will share some more thoughts over next couple of days, but for now - thank you.
