That 10 year old photographer/voiceover girl who is on the box all the time at the mo clearly either has VERY pushy parents or is completely driven, but is almost uncannily good at communicating for her age - I would imagine she will likely be seen much more in the years ahead.

Watching that Girlbands Forever on the Beeb today - not something I've exactly followed, but interesting stuff, especially on the industry and pre-fame side. Glad they got Vanilla in there briefly! Would have expected 5 mins on Supremes>Bananarama etc, but otherwise well worth a watch.

I guess the coolest mailer I've ever been sent! Doubtless prohibitively expensive, but where do you get these?!

Just been sent a second absolutely killer Lea Bertucci album, definitely shaping up to be a modern fave.

Hey @astralsocialite.bsky.social , actually made a (slightly) weirdo gig in ELY (godammit!) tonight, with folks I think you might know from Crushing Death... & Bad Timing jamming away on their electronic gubbins. Should hit em up to get you down, was decent turnout for a small room really!

Punishing myself by looking at what stuff I sold on Discogs in the last 15 years is going for now. It is crazy, stuff I got good prices for going for many times that price. Most of it I sold cos I didn't like it (that much), or there's a much cheaper edition available. Madness.

Catching up with promos from the last year or so...I know he is now an old git with hairy ears, but that Dennis Bovell Sufferer Sounds comp is the real deal.

Deleting old promo emails...what is it that makes these folk think no-one will want to look at them less than a year later and that it is cool to delete the online pix that make up half the message?

Bit harsh the Beeb currently jumping on people leaving Glasto for vox pops...Think he would get short shift from me at this time on the Monday!

I've been what I imagined might be 'forcing' my way thru the minor Larry Clark films I hadn't seen, but kinda enjoyed em all, the randy ol'bugger! Teenage Caveman is kinda stoopid but fun; I'd suggest seeing both Marfa Girls, works better; & now on Smell of Us, probably his most pro since Ken Park.

Hey @astralsocialite.bsky.social , woke from a dream where we met up at a festival & a bunch of v upfront & distinctive music/performance art lasses poss linked to both Sheffield & Leeds were there also. Felt like there was some kernel of truth in there. Had I forgotten a whole group of people?!

The last times I have put up my uberwants list, I have had digital copies sent to me of things I've wanted for years.

My music collection is big & my wants similar, & the remaining films I only have 2 open my wallet 4, so I thought I'd concentrate on the v small BOOKS/zines list & add some info...

I'm down to only one film I don't think I'm gonna be able to find for love or money, unless I try a (from memory expensive) US DVD - Rockets Redglare!, the documentary. What has happened to that? I saw it had some distro problems I think, but the DVD got out over there at least. Any clues?!

Became aware of Dinner For One (old English short unknown here but rabidly popular as an Xmas hols must-watch on the continent), & just had a watch. I can see why it never caught on here (just a standard bit of physical comedy schtick), but am tickled it organically became such a success abroad.
