This is merely example nine-hundred and eleventy-milliobillion of why american healthcare is miles away from being the envy of the world they think they are and is instead looked upon with sad sympathy by the rest of the world. And I’m saying that as someone who works in the Scottish NHS.
Blue Cross Blue Shield in Connecticut, New York and Missouri has declared it will no longer pay for anesthesia for the full length of some surgeries.
It the procedure goes over a certain time, anesthesia will not be covered for the duration.
