Now one of Madrid rags 🗞️ says Rodrygo will leave RM

If he does want to play LW, think that’s big. Hes got literally 2 best LWers in 🌍 at RM - Mbappe + Vini

Obv perfect fit for Arsenal. But it will drag. We’d have to close it.

Berta know 🇪🇸 + he’s done Joao Felix. Didn’t work, but similar deal.
Rodrygo being top target is definitely a big swing if true. All the smoke signals out of Madrid suggest he's determined to stay and fight, so I haven't gotten hopes up, but who knows how that changes in the coming weeks.

Could signal a long, patient wait for a potential winger signing. Expensive.

I know the online community isn’t reality, but it’d be nice if Arsenal briefed journos a bit more what’s going on, like this

Fans are frustrated due to last season + the last 2 windows

News has been VERY quiet despite (surely) lots going on behind the scenes, re: Berta

Hope we get something soon

Why would Barcelona, owner of the best front 3 in the world, want Luis Diaz of all people, who’s already 28?

For that kind of price…

Hopefully Diaz just stays at LFC as the reporting suggests as opposed to getting Saudi money
Liverpool have rebuffed an approach from Barcelona to discuss signing Luis Diaz, telling the champions of La Liga he is not for sale.

They gave him the 9 shirt?!

I’ll say it again. Delap will play less than 2,000 min for Chelsea this year and they’ll likely sell him next summer for a profit.

They don’t actually want him. Pure market opportunity with a cheap release clause for an England U21 international w/ Prem experience.
Chelsea confirm Liam Delap has joined from Ipswich for £30m on a six-year contract. Delap was Chelsea's top striker choice.🔵

🗣️ Delap: "I wanted to come here to win trophies. When I spoke to the club, everyone wanted to get back to the very top."

The other thing on random Karetsas to Arsenal rumor

- PSG + Madrid are currently fighting over River Plate kid
- Chelsea already got Quenda + Estevao

Need to look at 💰involved in those deals for ref

Ethan/Guler look to Karetsas

Yamal shouldn’t even be grouped w/ these guys for obvious reasons
🌎 (U18) All Leagues: Most shot assists per 90

🇧🇷 2.12 — Estevão (Palmeiras, 18)
🇦🇷 2.05 — Franco Mastantuono (River Plate, 17)
🇬🇷 1.85 — Konstantinos Karetsas (Genk, 17)
🇪🇸 1.73 — Lamine Yamal (Barcelona, 17)
🇵🇹 1.67 — Geovany Quenda (Sporting CP, 18)

Some veryyy spurious rumors just 🌱 on the other place

Karetsas to Arsenal w/ a loan back to Genk

Few things:

- He seems more Ethan class > Nypan (hence 💰 diff)
- Fabio Vieira vibes, that punt was €35M. Few yrs later + market inflation = €45M (?)

Highly doubt this happens but finally, some JUICE
🚨Arsenal are negotiating to sign Konstantinos Karetsas from Genk in a potential €45 million deal. @ChrisWheatley (Tier 3)

Yeah, it’s June 4 + the vibes are not good 😅

Surely it’s a few things -

- Rivals making moves
- New sporting director
- 0 credible links
- Agitation about Jan, last summer
- Last season, 3x 🥈

Arsenal are doing “things” but not in the public eye

I’m at Stage 4 too, despite trying to keep calm!
Five stages of Arsenal transfer link reactions:
1) Excitement
2) Scrutiny
3) Impatience
4) Panic <— you are here
5) Regret

I know what City are doing but it’s still annoying

In a normal summer, they’d have Florian Wirtz wrapped - bigger fee + higher wages than LFC

But with the 115 case STILL dragging on, they continue their Tier 2 player buying spree from Jan

Clearly gearing up for transfer ban

That €90M Alvarez 💰…
Manchester City have reached an agreement worth €55million (£46.3m) plus add-ons with Milan to sign midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

I 100% don’t think it will happen (bet we sell him)

But in lieu of attacking midfield seemingly not on the summer agenda for Arsenal, I’d probably keep Fabio Vieira around

He can spell Ødegaard in cup games, last 20 min, etc.

I still think Nwaneri will see plenty of mins at RW next yr > R8
Fabio Vieira. Do you think the 24-year-old still has a part to play at Arsenal or do you think the club should cash in this summer?
June 3, 2025 at 8:28 PM
This really doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence

No real links for Arsenal with wingers.

Sane is fine if it’s him +1 - but that won’t happen.

Nico Williams, give up, see new Bilbao contract reports.

+ I just don’t see Rodrygo leaving.

Club must know we need the 9 + some other real FW…

Ugh. This one hurts. Mbeumo.

1) Perfect for United’s system
2) Would’ve been great for us

But also, glad he’s not going to Newcastle, since that would be a REAL problem

If you, like me, think Nwaneri is RW > R8, then we’re set there obv w/ Saka + Ethan

Need that LW juice…
Mbeumo is going to be a great signing for someone, unlikely to be us

If Man United get him, he + Cunha are perfect for the Amorim system. The PL proven method.

If Chelsea or Newcastle do, also perfect fits

The irony - he plays the one FW position Arsenal don’t need

Surely we’re prioritizing LW
Twenty goals in the Premier League for Bryan Mbeumo this season.

The Cameroon forward has put Brentford in front away at Wolves.

What a season he has had.

Don’t like agreeing w/ Troy Deeney out of principle, but I think he has a point re: Delap

I’d be willing to bet Liam Delap gets less than 2,000 mins in all comps for Chelsea

At United, he’d be first choice

But neither would be my first choice for him. Idk where even would. Brentford? Villa? FFC?
Troy Deeney feels Liam Delap's choice of Chelsea over Manchester United may hinder his development, suggesting United could better support his growth, despite Chelsea's Champions League offer. Delap has completed part of his medical with Chelsea. By Tom Olver. #CFC #ChelseaFC

For the “Arsenal should have bought Doue last summer” crowd

Agree - but he was only ever going to PSG

Also, steep fee for 18 yr old

🥛Glass 1/2 full - Desire Doue pretty similar in profile to Ethan Nwaneri. Sure, Doue a bit more exp. But he didn’t 💥 until Jan.

Ethan could be similar next season
Youngest Frenchman to start in a Champions League final.

Cunha perfect for United in several ways -

- L10 in the Amorim system = tailor made
- Questionable character

He’ll follow Bruno’s lead of pouting + will tick up their toxicity

But will also probably score 15 ⚽️
Manchester United have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Wolves to sign Matheus Cunha.

Cunha has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford with the option of a further year.

Still no credible word from our guys on Sesko

On the other place, guys acting like this is already a done deal for the Arsenal 🙄

Let’s let it play out
Amazing news re: big Gabi

My thinking on Sesko + this underpins it -

- We know Fab a tap-in merchant for Arsenal news. Unless he’s Berta’s best mate (unlikely)
- Fab got in on Gabriel news quick
- 2 hrs later + Sami Mokbel, Orn, Charles Watts, James have said 0. So likely Fab doesn’t have much.

1) Transfer news is civilized over here (nonexistent basically)

2) We’ll wait until our Tier 1s confirm - but maybe Fab + Berta a thing?

3) I love Sesko/Gyokeres - either is fine but more upside w/ Sesko

One thing is clear - Berta is not going to want to miss on his 1st marquee move at Arsenal

I’ve intentionally taken a break from much of the Arsenal discourse over the last week, given results

Knew it’d be an ugly week after the PSG loss in UCL + the trip to Anfield

🎙️ But the basic lack of knowledge by pundits continues to drive me crazy. On NBC broadcast, Le Saux mentioned our RH pod.

Let’s not forget that Declan Rice wasn’t in the matchday squad.

Nor Gabriel Magalhaes and Kai Havertz. No Takehiro Tomiyasu or Gabriel Jesus, either.

Liverpool were only missing Joe Gomez.

And they rested last week.

Jorginho has spent the entire first half on the touchline. I think he's pretending to be warming up (a couple of calf stretches here, a few lunges there) but he's really just coaching his #AFC team-mates.
