Just days ago, Brad Lander called me to interpret for an Arabic-speaking asylee whose case was approved, yet ICE was still harassing him inside the building. Brad personally escorted him out to safety. He does this kind of work quietly, every day.
Lander just got detained by federal agents as he tried to escort a man out of the courtroom. Lander was taken in an elevator with masked agents, along with one member of his NYPD security detail.

Not an original point but worth saying again - there is not a single element in this picture that identifies any of these folks as law enforcement agents. No badges, no uniforms, no vests. Out of context it just looks like a bunch of random guys are kidnapping a mayoral candidate.

Not an original point but worth saying again - there is not a single element in this picture that identifies any of these folks as law enforcement agents. No badges, no uniforms, no vests. Out of context it just looks like a bunch of random guys are kidnapping a mayoral candidate.

This is really cool to see but also unsurprising - after all, they did a whole song about how you just have to accept that the city is called Istanbul now, and only assholes refuse to use its current name.

This is really cool to see but also unsurprising - after all, they did a whole song about how you just have to accept that the city is called Istanbul now, and only assholes refuse to use its current name.

At no point in this entire article of 16 paragraphs does ABC mention that another cop killed this cop by shooting her in the back. Nor does it mention the name of the cop who killed this cop. Nor does it mention that the civilians involved never fired at them.
ABC might as well be state media.
