Narrative Content Coordinator for The Division 2 at Massive Entertainment/Ubisoft. Will probably mostly post nonsense about video games, books, writing, counter-culture and whatever random hobby I'm obsessed with this month. He/him.

Time for #gamedev intro?

I'm a former games journalist, community developer on The Division and editorial comms manager. Currently narrative content coordinator, writer and copy editor on The Division 2. Been at Massive for 8 years. It's a dream job.

Enjoy books, games, my kid, my dog and TTRPGs.
I'm really enjoying #ChaosZeroNightmare. Is it full of typical Gacha bleakness? Sure. Does it use the really annoying Genchin Gacha 50/50 system? Yes. Some typical anime bait? Yes. But the gameplay and the characters are enjoyable, so for now, it's a nice little diversion for worldly bullshit.

Playing Silent Hill 2 Remake with my girlfriend. We're both a mess, and we're still in the early game. Why am I doing this to myself again, almost 25 years later? Wasn't that trauma enough?

Forgot to post this on Sunday, when Aleister Crowley celebrated his 150th birthday. So happy belated C-c-c-c-Crowleymass!

Finally found and bought two more of the books that I lost years and years ago - Aleister Crowley's Magick Without Tears and The Equinox of the Gods (in same editions as I had previously). Of the bunch I lost, only @rodneyorpheus.bsky.social's Abrahadabra remains, then I'm back on track. Happiness!

#CriticalRole Campaign 4 starting tonight. I was a devoted fan during C1, started watching when they were on episode 25, but didn't get into either C2 or 3. It's just not possible to keep up with 4 hours of content each week. I selfishly wish they'd cut down on runtime, like a "normal" Actual Play.

Games Workshop releasing a #WH40k character encyclopedia? That's cool. Games Workshop proceeding to ruin the cover by shoving a mini into the book, cutting a big hole in the front to showcase it and adding large splash text all over the bottom of the page? Absolutely not cool.

Oh no, I guess it's time to download and mod Skyrim (to hell and back) again. Modders are amazing and this is incredible stuff. I can't wait to try it out.
The 60 hour Skyrim quest mod we started over a decade ago is actually releasing next week 😍

It's 1/3rd of Skyrim in size and bigger than all the DLCs combined 💪

Finished up the last minis I needed for my Ad Mech Kill Team. Are they flawed? Heavily. Is the basing extremely basic? Yes. But since they *are* the first #wh40k minis I've painted in 20+ years, I'm quite proud of them. I've learned quite a bit during the process, so time to pick the next team.

What I didn't consider much when I started to paint #WH40K minis again was how simply therapeutic it is. A few hours, completely focused, mind not doing its regular racing, audio book with Horus Heresy for extra effect and you get something tangible out of it once you're finished. It's done wonders.

Gave the original Gundam (1979) a try on a whim, without knowing what to expect. One thing is for sure - I did not expect that amount of deaths that quick. "Half of humanity is dead, let's kill some more, including blowing up crowds of people and a main character's whole family." Welp.

Call me old fashioned, but I think that torching 1,000,000,000,000 dollars because a chatbot cannot count b's in 'blueberry' makes me think there is something inherently wrong with world's economy.

Felt an urge to repost this in 2025, it's more relevant than ever. 2024, when I originally posted this, feels tame in comparison. Fascism is no longer "rising". It's risen. #thelema
A friend posted photos the introductory pages to the 1938 edition of Crowley's Book of the Law. They do seem very relevant today, just like they were doing the rise of fascism in the 30s.

Because of all the #WH40K mini painting videos I've watched, YouTube has decided that #gunpla building might be in my interests. Watched a few videos, and they are not good for my sanity. I have a sudden urge to buy and build Gundam models. I prefer to stay in a relationship though.

One thing is for certain when trying to paint #WH40K minis again - your hands are not as stable at 44 as they were at 16.

As the kid grows, my eyes are more and more open to what is actually on the shelves of toy stores. And my god, it's a mix of cool, fun, awful and abject horror. How the hell do you navigate this as your child becomes older?

With my main bookshelf looking like a battlefield (just gonna tear out the HP books when I have the time to sort out everything around them), I had to remove stuff from my more decorative shelf to find space. And I'm already running out of it. I hate selling books, but it might be time.
